Thank you for posting! The Second-Input is the grammar focus where teacher and student sit side by side making grammar and spelling corrections to the paper. There are three resources that will help you as your student's editor. 1. On the "resource" tab on the blue tool bar on the drop down menu, there is a handy resource entitled "What is my role as editor?" Included is a list of Do's to help your young writer. 2. Also on the "resource" tab under printable resources is the Language Helps Booklet. On the last page, there is an "Editing Checklist for the Second Rough Draft". This checklist can be used for older students who are self-checking during the Flying Solo time and as a handy reference for you when you are editing your student's essay. 3. The entire Language Helps Booklet is also useful as a quick reference guide to your grammar questions as well as evaluating word usage. P.S. We are in the process of updating the scripted lesson with this information. Thanks for your patience and your question! Blessings! Beth
